Seems they got a bit too low and are in a bit of trouble for it as can be seen by the many Google Results and here's an article on it and about how they're being covered for

Can be seen here starting at 23:27

Crikey, looks like the leader screwed up and the wingmen broke off. Can't blame them. Looked very slick until then.

It may have been below "Base" but it didn't look too bad. There was no silly sink rate, the manoeuvre appeared to be flown and not "Pulled" round.
I guess rules is rules though... Makes you realise how good the "Reds" are though :-)

If you watch closely the run in is appears straightened out around 24mins i.e. they stop pulling to get lower. It almost looks deliberate??

I think it probably bore too much of a resemblance to the 1982 Thunderbirds diamond crash for their liking. On that occasion, performing the same manouver at low level the whole flight maintained the formation relative to the flight leader who was unable to pull up in time due to a mechanical fault and all 4 of them crashed with the death of all pilots involved.

Listen to the air shwo commentary on the clip. It says they're about to perform individual breaks, so the bomb-burst at the bottom of the loop would appears to be intentional.

Ah ok, I was watching at work with the sound off.
In that case it looked a bit ragged for the Angels.
