Was walking yesterday afternoon just south of Chesham and I saw a Lancaster and a couple of fighters (Spitfire/Hurricane) fly over in formation. Was there a show on yesterday? Filming for something?

Sounded fantastic!

They flew over Camberley too - was great. I don't know if there was a display on somewhere though.

Unbelievable as it may seem, anybody can apply to have the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) do a flypast/display. They obviously put major airshows/events first , but if your local village fete/party in back garden is near/on route to a display then you would stand a good chance of having them do a flypast or two. The Red Arrows will do the same.
This was the schedule for yesterday
14 May 11 Coningsby (3 Sqn) Flypast/Display 10:55/15:20
Tenterden, Kent Display 11:55
Keighly, Yorkshire Flypast 14:25
Haworth Flypast 14:30
Golcar Flypast 14:40
East Molesey, Surrey Flypast 14:40
Hyde Heath, Bucks Flypast 14:55
Langar Flypast 15:05
Charlbury, Oxon Flypast 15:15

EDIT to add,re. sounding fantastic. I have seen the Lancaster and the Spits/Hurricanes hundreds of times, but I would still stop and watch and listen to them now where ever I was as the sight and sound is something else and what they stand for is something else again.
