Looks amazing seeing to flying again. Love the Fw 190 and the ME 109.

Haven’t seen this way of de swastika before?

Last time I noticed this on German aircraft (in Germany) it was just missing or had a cross the same as the side one instead.
The Technik Museum in Sinsheim, Gemany, have no qualms about displaying their WW2 planes complete with Swastikas.
Isn't it law in Germany that no aircraft can be flown wearing the Swastika? And those aircraft in the Museum aren't flown.
You can't even get plastic kits with Swastikas there, I believe. And the Deutsches Museum in Munich just has blank spaces on the tails of their non-flying exhibits..

Swastikas have been omitted from most plastic kits for decades - and in most markets too. However, it's not an issue as after market decal specialists do Swastika sets (I bought two of them at Scale Modelworld Telford last weekend).

Yes, they certainly weren't in Airfix kits in the 50s or 60s.

I built Airfix kits in the 60's and 70's and they definitely had swastikas on the tail fins of German planes.

The packaging and decal sheets varied from market to market. Sometimes they were included and sometimes they weren't. I've got the 1974 Airfix Catalogue for 1974 and not one of the Luftwaffe subjects included that year showed swastikas on the box art.

On the other hand, Matchbox and FROG were still showing decals well into the 1970s.

Also, box art and decal sheets can vary too.

This is the Matchbox Messerschmitt 109E artwork from 1973

This is the same kit with revised box art in the early 1980s -

This is the Airfix Junkers Ju88 box art from the mid 1960s -

Definitely a better watch at normal speed. Maybe the last 10 feet of a vertical landing would be interesting enough in slow mo

Don't let Greta see that!

That was a brilliant display, i've seen an F1-11 do the same in the UK we were at the fence and he did a dump and burn at about 500 feet and you could feel the heat!

That brought back childhood memories of sitting on the beach at Mablethorpe watching F111's and Buccaneers doing run after run on Donna Nook bombing range.

Googled that and found this thread about an F111 crash on pprune. I'm often gobsmacked by the wealth of information in threads like that, with numerous people contributing who were actually there on the day. I hope it's all being archived for the future.

Defiant X attack helicopter completes first mission profile test flights and reached a speed of 236 knots (272 mph, 437 km/h) in level flight.

Video in https://newatlas.com/military/defiant-x-attack-hel... but recommend to mute the dam video!
