Odd - not a medical emergency as otherwise they'd have landed somewhere in the UK. Wondering if something on the aircraft is has knackered itself and Delta have specific engineering support at CDG?75Black said:
A shame I didn't screenshot FR24, but during my break earlier today I went out into my garden and 3 military helicopters flew over making a hell of a racket, turned out to be 3 Royal Dutch Puma's coming back from Scotland, probably on exercise.
EDIT: They were on ADSB Exchange, not FR. But almost the same thing
we just had 4x dutch Apaches fly over us in Margate, took off from Northolt and followed the Thames.EDIT: They were on ADSB Exchange, not FR. But almost the same thing

I would surmise something technical occurred which would prevent flying trans Atlantic, but didn't constitute an emergency.
That would seem obvious - but why go back to Paris specifically?aeropilot said:

I saw that while I was at the Chalke History Festival in Broad Chalke. It caught my eye as it flew along the Ebble valley at fairly low level. At first I thought it quite an odd type to be in that area but then again, RN Merlins often fly around over Salisbury Plain out of Yeovilton, so perhaps not so strange...
