There is a Russian special flight squadron, IL-96-300, halfway across the Atlantic, enroute from Moscow to JFK. Any ideas folks?
I expect collecting some cleaners and possibly a few church enthusiasts from the embassy. Landed at JFK then went onto DC.

Thought this sounded tasty. Was on a call unfortunately and didn't get to see it.

ETA - according to Wiki this is one of only 22 still airworthy.
Yes, the owners flew it over from USA to take part in the D-Day events in Normandy, and its been doing the rounds at various airshows in Belgium and Germany as well since, and did see that it had come back over to UK a few days ago, was seen at Duxford.

The ADS-B image shown there is the wrong though, as someone doesn't known the difference between an A-26 Invader and a B-26 Marauder (which is the image used there) which given there are no longer any B-26 Marauder's flying, is a bit of a error laugh

Thanks, that explains the Norwegian 737 that ended up at BOH then.

It was supposed to come to Sywell, but from what I’ve heard there was a bit of a miscommunication between the aircraft and the airshow, which ended in it not coming… was still a fantastic airshow, but would’ve been great to see and hear that!

I can see planes as they approach/depart Gatwick to/from the east from my office.

We have a plane spotter that works here (equal rights and diversity and all... biglaugh) and he got some notification about the BA plane so knew pretty quickly.

So we sat there watching the Emirates A380 which was on approach get closer and closer, knowing it couldn't land, veer off at the last second right over us!

Not sure why this is labelled as Amateur rather than De Havilland.

That thing spent a whole day buzzing round above us whilst on a little holiday in Henley-on-Thames last month. Some quite spicy low altitude flying!

They were supposed to do a full display in Folkestone this afternoon but due to the low cloud just did some fly by’s and called it a day. Shame, but still good to see them.
