Hi

The gf's heating has a couple of issues and I could do with a recommendation on somebody to come and fix (or if some helpful soul can suggest a fix I can DIY?).

1. Potterton Suprima boiler intermittently locks out (flashing red status light). T'Interweb suggests this is a very common fault and a new PCB is required (circa £150?). I could do this myself, but this problem doesn't seem to be related to:

2. HW is left on permanently, however it appears if the heating is also on for an extending period of time there is not hot water to taps. Turn the heating off and the water heats up again. This problem pre-dates the lock out issue.

System is unvented (Megaflo).

I can live with Point 1 for now, but not the cold showers!

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Interesting for point '1', my boiler (same make and model) does exactly the same. I'd assumed it was a triggering fault from the thermostat! Thanks for the info.
