PH/Sportscar-friendly MoT place - St Albans - Suggestions?

Hi - any suggestions for a decent MoT station in/around St Albans? I have been asked to find somewhere where the proprietor takes the appropriate care, is enthusiastic about cars, etc., etc.

Dunno bout with sports cars but no doubt someone will be along soon. We use for our Corsa...... Old London Road garage and they're good and cheap.

I used to use John Gordon Motors for my TVR. They're just off London Road near the old Odean cinema.

Always had excellent service, but then I did always make a point of being extra friendly and hovering around the mechanics in the hope they'd treat my car well!

I've been using 'Motest' in Bennetts End, Hemel H for a few years now.
Friendly staff, motorsport & classic car photos on the office walls. No need to book, just drive in.
Never had cause to complain.

Heard positive stuff about John Gordon, Alma Rd/London Rd, St A., but no personal experience.

I live in St Albans but also take my car to Motest in Bennets End / Hemel.

All the staff are friendly and love it when something exotic comes through. I took my Gallardo there for its first MOT a couple of months ago and they were so accomodating (as they had to adjust their ramps so it would fit on) and then I think I had 5 of them do the MOT

Have also used them for lots of "more normal" cars and always good service.
