When: Sunday 4th July 10:30am
Where: The Cowper Arms, Cole Green http://www.thecowperarmscolegreen.co.uk/

The North London Meet is back, and it looks like we could be onto something a little special for the next one. The Cowper Arms has offered to open early for us. This means we would effectively have a good quality pub in a great location, with a large car park all to ourselves to start with.

It's taking us further into Hertfordshire, so the North London tag isn't strictly true anymore, but the location looks like a winner. There are some good roads in the area - the pub is just off the B158 for example - and it's still remains within easy reach of the M25 and A1.

For anyone who hasn't been before we're a friendly bunch I reckon; there's a wide range of ages and we've had everything from diesel hatchbacks to supercars in attendance before, so please come and say hello if you're around.

Directions
The scenic route from Potters Bar/A1000: Follow the A1000 north as Potters Bar gives way to Brookmans park. Go past the traffic lights for the B157 junction and about 150yds further up there's a turning to the right signposted 'Essendon B158'. Follow this road into the village of Essendon (about 3.5 miles) and out the other side. After you leave the village and the road returns to NSL you want to take the second road on your left. It's a very sharp turn and it's unsignposted (once you pass the first turning it's about the same distance again...) After that you want to keep following the road to Letty Green, through the village and out the other side. The pub is on your right immediately after you pass underneath a railway bridge.

From the A1/A414: Take the A414 (heading east if you're coming from the A1) until you come to a roundabout (the 3rd I think) signposted Cole Green and Birch Green. After you pass through a couple of traffic islands there's a signpost on the the right to Letty Green. Follow this road (if you overshoot it there's another turning about 50 yds later) and the pub is on your left about 1/4 mile later.

(Neither way is as complicated as it sounds, just tried to make the directions comprehensive! The post code is SG14 2NL if you're sat nav'ing it)

The Cowper is less than 5miles from my flat so it would be rude not to attend.

I wish I could get mine (well, my girlfriend) to drive home. She's not even ridden in the Caterham yet, I can't see her ever driving it. Really restricts my car buying options. rolleyes

Hope you don't mind guys, I've added your names to the list on the other thread so we can start to get an idea of numbers. It's the more the merrier so please spread the word! We can probably accomodate up to about 60 cars and we've had getting on for that number at some of the previous Enfield events).

1) Chris - Caterham track car
2) Blib - Maserati 4200 GT or Hawk Stratos replica
3) Ian - Fiat Panda 100HP
4) Gizmo! - long-suffering MX5
5) Turpin - Porsche Boxster 987 S
6) Andy - Westfield
7) Prashan
8) Tango13
9) plenty - 968 or MX5
10) burman - Carrera C4S
11) William - Derby Bentley
12) Freddie v R - Gayvertible? (Going to try to pursuade a friend with a 430 Scud to come along too)
13) Zoki - The mighty Yugo
14) Kenny - 993C4S

Please bring the Morris Minor. I get quite jealous whenever people bring TVRs along after I sold my S3. hehe

So, combining this with the list on the Events forum:

1) Chris - Caterham track car
2) Blib - Maserati 4200 GT
3) Ian - Fiat Panda 100HP
4) Gizmo! - long-suffering MX5
5) Turpin - Porsche Boxster 987 S
6) Andy - Westfield
7) Prashan
8) Tango13
9) plenty - 968 or MX5
10) burman - Carrera C4S
11) William - Derby Bentley
12) Freddie v R - Gayvertible? (Going to try to pursuade a friend with a 430 Scud to come along too)
13) Zoki - The mighty Yugo
14) Kenny - 993C4S
15) g3org3y - E30 325i Cabrio (pending work rota)
16) Lewis S - TVR or Morris Minor

We're really trying to push this one as it's going to be mid-summer and we've got a great venue to ourselves (initially at least) so if anyone knows any like minded individuals who might want to come along, spread the word... smile

This is a bit of a shame and unlucky on the clashing front.
I would be very keen on a P.H Herts meet but there is a well established classic car meet I go to with a group at Hertford Heath on the 1st Sunday of each month.

Will this meet always be 1st Sunday monthly and clash , or does it come up different days ?

Cheers

Mas
