Any anyone recommend any good auto electricians, preferably in the Hitchin area.

I'm pretty sure I've a bad earth in the rear light circuit on my track car, but auto electrics are somewhat of a black art to me so I'd like someone to take a look and tell me how to fix it.

Thanks

If it's just on one side then there will be an obvious wire going to the bodywork or chassis within the cluster.

It's likely that this just needs unscrewing and a rub of emery and a smear of vaseline

I'll get the phone number of a guy I know for you on Monday. He built his own kit car so he's pretty switched on.

Alas it's a little more complex than that. I get fuses blowing and the dash lighting dims to almost nothing when I brake. My turbo timer shows voltage to the dash, during normal use it's around 13.7, if I brake it can drop to 11. If I dare brake with the lights on it will drop as low as 10v and my wired in track timer powers down / the boost controller switches off.

Charging circuit is fine.

If you can make if over to Leighton Buzzard, the Gay Dave is your man. Any car dealer in LB will have his contact details.
