Hi folks

Spring is here, the sun is shining in a blue sky as I type, and driving season is finally upon us.

If like me you’ve been gagging for a bit of a runout after the winter we’ve had, may I propose we gather on the morning of Sunday 21 March? An early-ish start to take advantage of the roads before the Sunday drivers congregate.

Start/finish point will not be published on the forum (it will be in Herts, within easy reach of the A1). I will PM details to everyone signed up, the week of the run. A Tomtom .itn file will be made available for anyone who wants one. The route will encompass about 85-90 miles with 2-3 stops along the way.

Date: Sunday, 21 March
Time: 0800 meet, for an 0830 start

Defiantly up for this, sounds great.
Unfortunately I will not have my new car by then and my Audi Cabriolet will have to do.

Nice one, I never have a clue where to go and always seem to get a Herts police escort on my own.

Found some more nice roads today, me and my mate made a film with the camera attachment but the final road killed his camera frown

Hmmm, looking a bit thin on the ground so far!

300, looking forward to seeing your smart. Read your write-up with interest as I've often looked at the roadster/roadster coupe and thought they would be good fun.

Yeah, not sure where everyone is. Maybe this run needs mentioning in the Events forum?

Looking forward to giving it a run biggrin It's certainly not the quickest thing in the world, but it is huge fun and certainly seems quick enough to make use of the car.

But you're more than welcome to come and have a closer look if you're interested.

Still 2 weeks to go guys - chances are we'll get a few more signups.

Although in my experience, small crews are often the best! Easier to stay together.

Has the route already been planned?

Because at 10:00 ive got a similar meet at South Mimms for a "Coffee and Cars" style gathering, is there anywhere we could say meet you and join you or something?

Route is planned on paper - I will be road-testing it this weekend!

We'll be a little further north than South Mimms and should be done before noon. If that works, we could potentially look into a meetup? Please PM me if interested.

Incidentally, the run will end with a brunch stop but hungry types should probably load up beforehand.
