Milton Keynes-CCTV watching the mcdonalds r'about???
Discussion
Right, you know the road that goes past the back of burger king/mcdonalds/the old hockey stadium/HorseAttack!/brantano etc...
well you know those two stupid mini round abouts where, in the morning, everyone just goes the wrong side of the first mini roundabout to just straight line it...
..well there seems to be a sign saying something about community CCTV.
is this to stop scrotes or are they watching the mini roundabouts so they can fine people for doing something which isn;t in anyway dangerous at 6am..?
PS who's the slightly northern chap with the blue elise with the very short numberplate??

Haven't been along there in a while but used to work at Jessops. Hope
it's to watch those round abouts. Used to really annoy me when people coming from the station end of the road would make a right in the left lane just onto the stretch of road you are talking about.
So are you one of the Maccy D brigade??

nope i am one of the 'fvck, the train's about to go' commuters! so if you're going from comet to the train stn i must admit (at 06:##am) i may have considered going to the right of that first mini round about. in fact the other day since i have started to go around it properly some c0ck end in a golf presumed i was going to go the wrong side, like the 2 cars in front of me, and almost drove in to me!

Were do you get the train too? I get on one at Leighton Buzzard, usually just before 7am if I'm on time or just after 7 if I'm running late. It's all the way into Euston for me then a tube afterwards.
euston we have a problem.
i could go to LB (i live sw of MK) but have been going to MK cos of virgin availablility (hoho) and ease of london midland seat getting (and bought parking permit).
i have only ever been to LB twice so i don;t even know how easy it is to get to stn from the autobahn/drag racing road.. i am going to look in to it though cos your parking is chaper and obviously the train will be cheaper. and no bugger parks in that metal car park (by the looks of things) so there is room..?

I think parking is ok, even before they built the extra storey for the car park it was only either 2/3 to ¾ full the most I’ve seen. I think price wise it’s about £100 a month with a season ticket, although I don’t park there as my brother lives round the corner.
Train wise there are two main services both provided my London Midland. The express service which should take 33-36 mins and the stopping train which takes around 50 mins or so and stops at a number of stations including Cheddington, Tring, Berkhamsted, Hemel and Watford as a rule.
Pricewise my annual season ticket cost £4400 (ouch!) so don’t know how this compared to Virgin.
I would say I don’t think London Midland are all that great, it’s fairly regular that a train is late due to staff shortage or train faults. And they won’t refund you unless it’s more than 30 mins. Many of the trains are very busy too, but suspect this is true for most operators.
I tend to get either the 6:46am or if I’m in less of a rush the 7:31am. But there are trains at 7:07 (express), 7:01 and 7:25 (stopping).
