Anyone know what they are for???

They are on Hatters way and the roundabout nr the Via-duct.
Mounted to street lights with a big black box at the bottom...

Little red light visible sometimes too?
Same as in St Albans checking people entering the area tax etc i think.

AHA!!!

Luke my Transmission is away getting rebuilt and upgraded, But when its back and i have put it back together again the Viper is all yours.....























Well for the photo shoot any how LOL!!!!!

We passed each other under the bridge next to the train station. One of you (correctly) decided to rev it hard - made me smile all morning biggrin

If it's the same ones, there is some on the park street r'bt coming up the hill into st albans, and one by the ancient briton crossroads.

And on the Watford road where it crosses the old M10 (now A414)

I suspect they are part of some sort of survey of traffic volume as there were plans afoot to create a new link road across the fields from the old M10 into the top of town at the top of Blue House Hill, cutting the amount of traffic using Watling Street and the King Harry roundabout to get into town from the motorway.

It's a bit more than a traffic survey. If it's anything like the ones on the way into Stevenage, they a ANPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras.
