29th July (next wednesday) is Classics on the Common in Harpenden

http://www.classicsonthecommon.com/

Great event, probably too late to sign up now but well worth turning up to have a look around and enjoy a drink or two (if you're not driving!)

Weather looks like it will be ok at the moment, but may well change!

Anyone from here going?

Absolutely!! Best event of the year in my home town.

Outside table booked at Pizza Express to watch all the cars go by, then a wander for at least...3 hours?

Can't wait!

O/T but you must live in the Poet's area? Pretty sure I have seen your Tuscan driving round Gilpin Green before....used to annoy the missus by knocking stuff over as I ran to the window to sneak a peak!

hehe

Taking the car this year?

Think i shall position myself outside the Silver Cup from about 4pm and enjoy a few drinks watching the cars go by, then get some hog roast (presume they will be doing one again!)

I'll be there again as usual, car will be on display as usual too. I think this is the 5th or 6th year i've attended and displayed in a row, wouldn't miss this show for anything.

Used to love this when we lived over in Hitchin, and I love Harpenden also..

...but I'll be many thousands of miles away on a boat in the sun with the HH collective drinking whatever is to hand...

Hope you enjoy, peeved to be missing it!

I shall be there also, I work just down the road in Southdown. Hopefully the rain will clear up by mid afternoon.

hmmm - Going to be rainy showers, brightening up later according to Met Office - Tommorrow looks like a great day however..... is it too late to postpone it by a day?! biggrin

Still looking forward to tonight though, still a great event even in previous years when it has been wet.

Wave if you see a blue caged 106 Rallye driving in with a mini smile I wish I still worked in Hemel, then I could have been there by 5. Now i've got to commute out of London, pick up the car and then drive over, cuts down on my gawping time biggrin
