I passed a recovery truck on the A1M heading northbound at about 11am with a load of cars on the back between Welwyn GC and Stevenage.

In the rearview mirror it looked like it was called "Scaffold Recovery" or "Stafford Recovery" or similar, anyone know who it might have been?

I wouldn't normally worry, but I really want to enquire about the Clio Williams that was being towed behind it!

No, it was white with red writing on the front, it was like a smaller version of those transporters you see carrying new cars but was loaded up with scrappers.

So I expect my Clio is on the way to the big crusher in the sky by now frown

How much? I'm not particularly flush, hence why I was looking at a scrapper to do up!

Most of the transporters carrying bent cars and going north are going to Sandy - there is a vehicle dismantlers/auction place there.....but the name escapes me! banghead
