Can any recommend a reliable outfit (either mobile or within fairly easy reach) who doesn't charge the earth, will allow mail-order tyres to be delivered to them and will take good care of my alloys?

Thanks in advance and feel free to PM if preferred.

I would recommend supertyres on broadwater road welwyn garden city, they do a lot of tyre fitting for Grange Aston/Jaguar so do know how to look after alloys 01707 371111

I used E-Tyres. The mobile fitter who turned up was excellent - used to dealing with unusual cars (he has an original GT40 on his books amongst others!) and happy to help get the TVR on and off the axle stands!

Thanks guys. Chris - my understanding is that eTyres employs a range of guys so I might not get the same chap if I go to them?

Possibly. I can't remember the name of the guy unfortunately - seem to remember it was something quite un-tyre-fitter like Julian or something if that helps!

They're recommended by Classic & Sportscar so I think most of them are a cut above Kwik Fit.

Try Blains Tyres at St Margarets just behind Great Gaddesden. They fit my TVR and Jag tyres and do the tyres for teh local Jaguar specialist in Berkhamsted. Based on a farm but they're good people and take care

I can recommend

N&C Tyres - He's mobile around the WGC / Hatfield / St.Albans area

Always fits my tyres in the car park at my work.

Never damaged my alloys.

Always given me the best price (and I do always ring around)
