I need the inner lip of all 4 wheelarches on my car repainted due to rust. IS this an easy job for a mobile fitter to do or do I need to book it into a body shop?

Can anyone recommend someone in the St Albans area?

It's almost certainly a body shop job.

Have you got rid of the rust or do you want the body shop to address that to?

Unless it was on a decent car then I'd just brush paint it as its mostly out of sight and usually covered in mud, otherwise you're looking at several hundred pounds to paint at a body shop. Worth doing on a classic but not on anything else.

Am having some bodywork done on my Lexus by Brian Robson coachworks just off the Ashley Road Industrial estate next door to the Vauxhall dealership.

There are also a couple of bodyshops on Park Street (Frogmore) next to the Jet Garage / Toyota Dealership between Park Street and Radlett (A5183). Don't remember any names other than K & R Coachworks but the site there has two or three places that will do a variety of jobs, big and small.

If you want a low cost but good job talk to Kevin Catlin at KC Coachworks at Gaddesden Row. The premises look a bit scruffy, but the work is very good VFM

Try a guy called Dave Lote.

Don't know the actual name of the business, but the entrance to the bodyshop is almost bang opposite the Gun shop in Tippendale Lane, Park St.

He's done a couple of cars for a mate of mine, & they looked good.

Probably cheaper than doing it through a main dealer as well.
