Struggled to get out of the village today - had to take Mrs HH's Pathfinder up to Sainsbury's as the roads either end of the village are crossed by streams typically flowing underneath via tne culverts, but which are flowing acccross the road some 1 feet deep today. The road up to Stortford was pretty much one continuous puddle/steam.
Ands there were 3 cars pulled out of the ford at the bottom of the viallge today, according to the Mr BiB who popped into the pub for a pint earlier - 1 x Astra, 1 x van, 1 x 2 week-old Merc C350! Went down there to take a look and you would need a DUKW to get across - quite how Mrs (for it was a Mrs) C-Class thought she would get across, Heaven only knows...
