I'm looking to have the DTA E48 pro ECU of my Alfa engined replica remapped. It's running way too rich at the moment.

Unfortunately for me, many remappers don't care to deal the older DTAs or have little experience with them.

Do you guys know of a decent re-map outfit, preferably in the Hertfordshire area that you have had dealings with and can recommend?

Thanks in advance.

That's my problem Vixpy. A lot of firms don't want anything to do with DTAs frown

I've thought about replacing it but that would come to over a grand before we even start.

In the meantime, I've managed to find a couple of companies who said that they can do a job for me.

Now, if you could recommend a local exhaust company that can do me a new exhaust for my Stratos' replica, then I'd be a happy bunny.

ETA: I've just noticed your systems on your profile Vixpy. Are they a bit to 'trick' for a road car do you think?

Don't you have the means to map it yourself on the road? I would have thought that as an aftermarket system it would be accessible to you. If so it would only need a wideband sensor and a bit of data logging, even if the DTA system doesn't have any self-mapping capability.

I would say its prob worth having a chat with Chris Todd at Torque of the Devil, I know he does DTA, and he's a good chap. Also I do have a chap who might be willing to give it a go, can you email me over the specs and I will ask him.

Our systems are all road car orientated smile they are higher end products though.

GreenV8S, thanks for your suggestion, but I'd prefer to pay to have it done professionally.

Vixpy, thanks for the Torque of the Devil info, if the guy that I've chosen backs out or makes a 'horlicks' of the job, then I'll give him a ring.

Blib you could check out these people in Borehamwood.

http://www.crazyhorsesracing.com/

They helped me with the Webers on my Xtreme, but they are more into injection than carbs.

Thanks Graeme. She's been off the road for too long. frown

We should be sending her up to Coventry to have her new slightly quieter, hand built exhaust fitted within the next couple of weeks.

Then, straight on to the remappers. I can't have the car remapped until the new exhaust is fitted & the exhaust guy went 'walkabout' just before Christmas and has only recently resurfaced.
