Got to MOT a couple of fifties American cars this week. Any yank friendly garages in Bucks.

Not asking for an unsafe car to be passed, just looking for someone that understands older cars.

I'm Amersham/Chesham way but dont mind travelling a reasonable distance.

I had a de-catted AC Schnizter M3, and also a Chimaera which I am sure should have failed on something, and both sailed through at a place in the Hillingdon area. Email me if you want details (obviously don't want to post the name on here!). It was a few years ago, so assume he is still around!

VC Autos in Postcombe (just off M40 J6). The owner loves old cars (and bikes, and new cars, karts, boats, anything with an engine for that matter). He also does the MoT's for Str8six - my Tuscan will be paying a visit next week.

Try the garage on the left hand side as you drive down Beaconsfield Old Town High Street (from the M40 direction) - name escapes me now but mate took his old alfa there and they were very accomodating.

PHer Mick has a garage near Hitchin and he's always happy to help out members. His boys run the garage and they love their motors so will gladly work around older cars. If it's not too far I'll get you his details.

I'm local to Gilberts and used them for years for several of my cars but last year he ripped one my motors to bits and failed it on some petty stuff so i dont bother any more.

Have started using a place in Bletchley, a little bit of a jaunt but the guy seems to understand old cars.

I'd still take modern stuff there, in fact i took my 2004 Dodge Ram there last week for Class 7 test. It's my fifties and sixties American stuff he seem's to not like.

Ah ok fair enough,
You also need to give credit to the old boy, he must be knocking on a 100 years old and is still doing MOT's
