Yup Yup...My beloved Porky is dead. Developed a very nasty rattle from the engine a few weeks back, and been told she needs an engine rebuild. Just spent £700 on getting the hydraulic lifters changed in the vain hope that it would be something simple, but no such luck. Technically don't have the money to fix her, although I guess the only real solution is to borrow the money, fix her, sell her on, and pay off the borrowed money.

Looks like the end of my supercar fun for the foreseeable future....

An alternative to borrowing money to fix it is to ebay it with a clear description of what's wrong.

Mark, can you dry store her for a while? If so, what about telling the DVLA it's SORN then pack it away while saving up to fix later?
If not then there are better and worse ways to get credit/cash, make sure you get one that'll work for you.

Cheers Dave. I don't think dry storage is an option, and the missus get nervy any time there's a potential problem, so I think she's gonna have to find a new home. ( The car, not the missus......although.....hehehe )
