It's nearly here!!!

Classics on the Common 2008 at Harpenden.

Anyone going this year???? This will be, I think my 5th year and its one of my fav motor shows all year round.

If you've never been, why not pop over for a visit, entry is free for spectators and there will be loads and loads of wonderful cars on display biggrin

Forecast is for good weather (fingers crossed it stays that way!!) So i'm taking the day off work and plan on relaxing outside a pub in the afternoon watching the cars go by! - Live facing the common so figured i may as well enjoy a few beers this year rather than park up.

wavey I'll be there. Not in the Tiv though. The Yaris is much easier to abandon in places when the parking situation gets chaotic as it no doubt will.

I will be there - a highlight of the year for me! A 2 hour browse with the missus then off to Pizza Express.

Doug C - you not taking your motor? Disappointing, although unless you are participating, I know what you mean about parking...

I don't qualify as a classic just yet. A mate managed to wangle his 350i in without a pass last year but I doubt I'd be that lucky. As for parking, best to just park a long way away and walk back to avoid the scrum. Looks like the weather will be better than last year at least.

With the sun shining as it is I'm tempted to bring the Boxster along.

Any recommendations where to park it? What's the possibility of getting it on to the common?

In a Boxster, zero. Park where you can. It'll be busy!! Try going past the common and turning off into a sidestreet somewhere.

I'll resort to plan B and take the train.

Train = Beer

edit to ponder - Wonder if that chap with the Orange Zonda will show up again? There was an orange one on the stand at the motorshow which might be the same one. Fingers crossed though.

In previous years I believe there has been a park and ride run from the Rugby Club. Can't see anything on the 2008 website though

Top evening!!! Got to be the best one yet!!! thumbup

Where did all those DB6's come from? They seemed to be every where. Some great cars on show and a really nice relaxed atmosphere to it all. Hope it doesn't get ruined as good things normally do.
