Luton Festival of Transport

Is anyone here going? It's this Sunday (8th June) and is at Stockwood Park. I went to it for the first time last year and was amazed at the size and variety of cars, plus some really good stalls and bargains!! I'm hoping to go in my racer, it'll be our first car show together.
I'm a fan of Classics on the Common but this was bigger and the added bonus of stalls but I will be doing Classics again this year too, nice to do something mid-week.

I should have clicked on your website before I asked. Where is the 'we're not worthy' smilie?
A friend of mine is a huge Vauxhall fan and would have bitten off his left hand to have had a chance to meet the pilot of Big Bertha. I think we bumped into him at Goodwood a few years ago.
I've been to one of these Stockwood Park meets before and there was a very good turn-out. Much better than Harpenden IMO.

If your friend is around on Sunday the Vauxhall Heritage Centre will be open for it's first of the only two days a year it's open but I've moved Old Nail (Dad's most successful Firenza) to Donington now.
Yeah, I really liked Stockwood Park and couldn't believe I'd not been before!! Are you going to either this year?
I found Harpenden had become a victim of its own success. I used to go a few years back but not since they started laying down rules - I preferred the eclectic mix of before; American Iron mixing with Quattros, Cosworths and Brit classics.
Not sure about Stockwood this weekend. I need to get my stuff together for Le Mans.

I think it's still all mixed up and I've only been going the last 3/4 years and enjoy it but then I've never taken a car, just walked round so I'll find out this year what it's like showing.
I'm hoping the weather will be good and I'm sure you're hoping it will be good for Le Mans next week!!

Great, see you there & come & say hi with the Chevette as my racer passed the MOT first time & I'll be on the Droop Snoot Group (DSG) stand from about midday (need to miss the traffic as I have no cooling!!).
I really must get out more! I missed the Luton Festival, I also missed the PV day at the 'Pod. Damn damn damn damn damn!I guess there's still the VBOA Rally at Billing!
