Good evening all

New guy here saying hi from Potters Bar. I have a 2004 red Hyundai Coupe V6 with black 17" Inovit redline wheels, XS Power stainless exhaust and pipercross Induction. Lots of other plans for it, but funds have depleted at the moment.

I'm a Toyota mechanic which certainly helps keep mod costs down a bit.

Well its certainly a bit more juicy than my old Skoda Fabia vRS! Not as powerful either, but certainly sounds better.

Hi Graeme. Nice motor! I work for a Hyundai dealer in MK and have driven Coupes as demonstrators since they came out. The V6 is certainly a lovely sounding car and I agree about its prodigious thirst too! I had 2 or 3 last year but am back in 2.0 models now; much easier on the wallet!

Yours looks good with those black wheels and I noticed you've 'de-oranged' your indicators. Looks better that way I reckon. I'd be interested to hear it running the non-standard exhaust you've got too.

Welcome to PH, btw. Hopefully see you on a meet soon. biggrin

Thanks. You could well see me at a meet soon as i've missed meeting up with like minded car nuts. Looking through the cars history, it was origionally purchased in Milton Keynes, so was probably from your dealership then. Maybe I'll pop up one day and show it where it origionaly came from.

Okay, that'd be good. Be interesting to know who had it originally too (I've been there nearly 18 years doing the admin so there's a good chance I'd remember it nerd).

I've always thought what a bloody good car it is just crying out for more power. I think it's only Hyundai's long warranty that keeps the power output as low as it is, tbh. It shouldn't be too difficult to liberate a few more horses.

Got any more plans for yours? A nice supercharger for example...smokin

Lots of plans but no money for any of them yet!

Supercharger, LSD, coilovers, strut braces, lighter wheels, manifold and downpipe, full cold air induction system and a diet for the interior trims. Seen alot of cars on American websites running over 300bhp and 11-12 second 1/4 miles. I don't want to go to that extreme myself and would be happy with about 220-250bhp. Bit more everyday friendly.

You'll only be happy with 250bhp until you get used to it... then you'l be happy with 300Bhp... then 350Bhp etc.

Tuning is dangerously addictive! biggrin
