Hi all,

Apologies for the new post on this subject. I found a thread from over 4 years ago but things may have changed.

I have a C63 AMG S Cab and need the stock wheels repaired/refurbished. I have some buckling on the left side due to potholes and curbing damage.

Can anyone recommend a good service at a reasonable price please in the Royston/Cambridge area? Are Letchworth Diamond Wheels still rated? I may eventually upgrade them as well. Are there any companies around here which buy second-hand alloys?

Also, any help with ceramic coating in North Herts also gratefully received.

Many thanks in advance.

Gaz.

I've only used Letchworth Diamond Wheels and that was a few years ago now, they did the spare set of winter wheels for my Jaguar XF changing from silver to anthracite and have to say they did a very good job, the wheels were still in A1 condition when I sold them.

They used to be based at the Polish car wash that I regularly use in Pixmore but have since moved to a different unit nearby.

I used Letchworth Diamond Wheels about two years ago.

They wheels were ok, but not perfect. There was an imperfection on one wheel, which they were not interested in sorting.

I'd recommend contacting ProdetailingUK about both the ceramic coating and wheels, as they can sort both and are first class.

Cheers

I stopped using the car wash on Pixmore, as they repeatedly didn't do that great a job.

Supershine opposite the Peugeot garage is far better.

OK might weill give them a try next time but have not been able to fault the Polish guys in the years that I've been using them.

I was happy with the job Letchworth Diamond Wheels did a few years ago on our old runabout.

I've used DW on a few cars now and always been happy.

I'd say that you can never get an old corroded wheel looking 100% like a brand new wheel (at least not for the ~£100 a wheel they charge for standard strip/clean/powdercoat). They've always explained that to me, and I've always been satisfied with the results.

If you want a full (deep) refurb of your wheels and are prepared to cover the cost, then talk to Mint Alloys in Wrest Park.

They also offer a collection service…
