I need to get some paint repairs done on my car, in decreasing order of importance:

1) small patch of rust at top of windscreen, will involve windscreen removal and refit.
2) repaint a large patch on the (saloon) bootlid where I've managed to scrape through to the primer, possibly the metal, against a concrete beam... fortunately no dents or creases! Might need to have the whole thing repainted though...
3) repair a few areas on the plastic rear bumper where paint has lifted off (combination of age and pressure washer)

The car is a 2004 Mercedes... the paint of this Mercedes era is very hard/resilient (withstands supermarket door dings rather well) and being quite old the paint is likely to be a different colour to when it left the factory so will need matching.

Any recommendations for a paintshop that have done good jobs of this sort of magnitude for you? Preferably around Baldock/Bedford/Stevenage/Hitchin/Biggleswade region, but if there are any strong recommendations further afield I'd like to hear those too.

Unless its an AMG I'd expect the repairs to cost more than the value of the car.

Yes, have a conversation with Chris at Finishline. I've used them on several cars, always great results. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Get him to quote and you can decide whether it's worth it.

I can highly recommend Auto Doctors in Luton.

Stewart has done work on mine and a few friends car and the end result is always fantastic.

I would say Finishline also, just be a bit wary of their final fit...my car had to go back 3 or 4 times for relatively simple trim issues and a few paint issues. This was however, a full respray.

If it's a smaller job like yours sounds though they should be fine. PM me if you want to know more.

I have also used Kieran at Harpenden Classic and Performance. Top guy. Sensible pricing and great quality.
