No, not those kind of strippers, sorry! (Jesus, can you imagine?!)

I need some wheels stripping so I can repaint them, not bothered if it's chemical or sand blasting.

Any recommendations?

They just quoted £50 per wheel, just to shot blast them. No chance.

I have spoken to these guys : http://letchworthdiamondwheels.com/
They seem to have a good reputation and their prices seem pretty keen.

I've used them twice, the finish was never 100%, but as it was for daily drivers it was good enough, their charges are reasonable and the turn around quick, drop off at 9am pick up at 6pm same day.

I used them to strip and re-colour my Jaguar XF Cygnus winter wheels (from silver to anthracite) 2 years ago, they did an excellent job on the actual wheels and they still look first class. The only downside was that they overtightened one of the TPMS valves and it cracked and leaked air but luckily Jaguar replaced it under warranty.

I am off to Diamond Wheels next Friday for a refurb and tyre swap. In fairness he did warn me that as my car is fitted with TPMS the sensors can sometimes break when removing the wheels.

I will report back once I have collected the car.

I've had mixed results from BJV - some very good, others just about acceptable.

To update this, I collected the car Saturday evening. The wheels look very good, I haven't had a chance to have a really detailed look due to the weather but I am confident that they are bang on.

Very good value at £280, 4 21 inch wheels refurbed plus fitting 4 new tyres. Nice guy to deal with too.

I use a company called M.R.P Blast Cleaning who are based in a shed near Baldock.

Can't find a number for him at the moment but have not googled yet. Very handy for Stevenage and cheap
