Speeding cameras on m1

Noticed the other day coming home that the speeding cameras on the m1 between Luton and M25 appear to be working,have seen them flash a few times since, but are they really working?? anyone been unlucky enough to of been caught??

The cameras between jun 10 and 11 south bound seem to have been working overtime for the last 6 days
will know if they
Are working in the next two weeks as I forgot and got flashed on Monday morning!

Noticed some of them flashing away on the opposite carriage with the variable showing 50 or 60. Nothing flashed at traffic hurtling past me when I was at the posted limit coming southbound. Do they flash in bright daylight or only at low level light, anyone know?

They flashed lots a few years back, not heard of anyone getting a letter.

I was just travelling northbound J8-14 and saw a southbound camera flash - i think it's safest to assume they've been switched on. I did wonder why traffic was slower than normal!

Omg watched cameras facing southbound flashing like Christmas tree lights whilst sat in stationary traffic heading north!

Any news? As I went under that one tonight it seemed to be flashing everything, even the hgv. I was doing about 54 GPS so will be interesting to see.

Anyone got a NIP from these things yet. Got flashed late last night with no variable speed limit shown. All the t'internet searching I've done today isn't giving conclusive evidence of anyone getting fined yet.

Well, that's 14 days or so, nothing yet. Reckon I'm off the hook?

I know of the guys that worked on the m1. Last I heard was that the cameras are on but not calibrated. They need to have cop cars run through them at set speeds...

There are only very few lives cameras. A lot are dummy's.. Russian roulette. However cameras by Luton airport parkway aren't allowed, as they were deemed dangerous due to location.

The above info was accurate as of July. Things might of changed since.

A few of these cameras have been broken in recent times and flashing at everything that moves.

It's annoying as it chokes up the opposite carriage way as everyone panic brakes when they see it flash.
