Hi everyone, does anyone know who has a road force balancing machine in or around Bedford?

I was reading about them the other day and popped into Kwik Fit on the way back from work a few minutes ago. I asked the guy if they had a Hunter (I get the impression that road force generally means it's a Hunter) balancing machine and he insisted that Hunter only make alignment machines and that lots of people get confused between balancing and alignment!!

Popped to Knightsmead Garage on Castle Road intending to ask them if they have or know of anyone with one. I asked "Can you balance wheels, and if you can do you have a road force machine?". I got "What's one of them?" back. rolleyes (Also he'd never heard of e39's getting 'shimmy' even though he's "run loads of them" rolleyes )

So anyway, does anyone know anywhere nearby with one?

Thanks

Any tyre place can balance a wheel :/ however hunter wheel alignment machines are not in every tyre place. You can get your wheels aligned in most tyre places, but Hunter machines are generally accepted as the ones to use. Your overcomplicating things by calling it a road force balancing machine as most will just know it as a hunter machine.

No clue what you mean by a road force balancing machine...are you not over complicating things with your description.
Don't want a Hunter wheel alignment, want a road force balancing machine which I gather are also made by hunter (and by others I'm sure).

I think these guys might have one, I've emailed to ask.

My problem is not every tyre place can balance a wheel very well.

Road force balancing is a more detailed way to check wheel balance and takes into account tyre deflection etc, not just how much it wobbles when it is spun.

i used to use a firm in swiss cottage for the hunter road balancer and that's what it is called so no idea what the other guy is talking about. they have gone pop now.
i believe the custom wheel and tyre place in st albans has one as thats where they took my wheels a while ago as standard balancing is hopeless if you have deep dish rim wheels.
