Has anyone been to the car meets at The Red Cow in Chrishall?

There's one on this weekend and thinking of popping down there as it's not far from me.

I went to the first one this summer, but haven't been able to get back since - might try and go this Saturday with the wife, though may have a bit of a heavy one on Friday night which may rule me out.

Otherwise was a small selection of cars when I went, but quite friendly and breakfast is nice - if you're close, worth a visit. Toby, the owner/chef there is an old schoolmate of mine and I can vouch for his cooking.

Thanks for the reply, I'm only about 20 minutes away so think I'll pop down.

Might see you there if the head isn't too fuzzy.

Indeed - if I'm about I'll be in my white Cayman S or, if it's still with Porsche having work done, my courtesy Panamera.

Look forward to seeing you then Jim. Don't suppose you drove through Littlebury in the Cayman on Wednesday last week?

Not me I'm afraid - mine's a white Gen.1 Cayman S - I'm nearer Sawbridgeworth, so around Stortford and that neck of the woods usually, though currently in a Black Panamera S Hybrid which is....different!

Panamera Hybrid, didn't even know they did one! What are you getting to the gallon out of it?

Yeah, not been out that long - with toys it's a £100k car though... Clogging it pretty hard for the duration of my ownership, so about 25mpg - my usage probably wasn't representative though. Cayman has just been delivered back home...

Glad you have the Cayman back, 25 mpg isn't that bad but would have expected a little more from a hybrid. Just had a look on the Porsche website and it claims 41.5 mpg combined, if only...

At a steady 55mph in 8th gear, maybe, but at 1.1 leptons the hybrid tech adds some power, but also quite a bit of weight... It's a lovely lovely car the Panny, but it's no weekend fun car. I'll be taking the Cayman for a quick blat tonight and can't wait...

9am is the official start - I'll probably aim for about 9:30 assuming I make it.

And at 19:30 I'll be coming off the 18:43 from Liverpool St sadly frown

Well wish I'd got the train after the tailback up to junction 8, at least it was clear from there for a bit of fun.

9:30am looks very likely for me - I'll be meeting a mate in Royston at about 9am, and then heading straight over - white Cayman S so do say hello if anybody's about!

Just a bump for this thread. The sept meet is tomorrow, and the weather is looking good.
So will be taking a trip over in the morning. Think it all starts from 9am onwards.
