There's a flight path that passes over north Harpenden that military helicopters sometimes use.
The Apaches usually come over in pairs, and we occasionally see a Chinook or Puma (I assume they are Puma).
There are both Chinook and Puma based at RAF Benson.

Used to live near MK Hospital, would often see the Army practice their chopper evac and drop off procedures, on those days they would come of the house at what looked just above tree top height (I appreciate its much higher but you take my meaning), two would circle while the third would drop down, do what they were practicing and then lift off again, really very cool to watch.

BBMF Lancaster just came over Harpenden (Kinsbourne Green) headed west at low altitude.

RAF Naphill is across the valley from my house and Chinooks are regular visitors. When Trump was POTUS and over here his helicopter convoy passed by within a few hundred metres on the way to Chequers (I assume) but the most interesting aircraft in the convoy was the tiltrotor Osprey.

Some years ago now I was on the northern section of the M25 near J20 and I saw one of the cars in the picture below in my rear view mirrors. I still don't know to this day whether I really like them or not.
