The gold isn't that bad, honest..haha

Was looking for an excuse for a new watch, so decided I needed a watch for sports/running. It does the job good enough.

It wasn't the one I was after, but it was the closest I could find to a white one, Well.

I quite fancy a DW 6900ms-1. Does anyone know a good place to get one from?

The official Casio site seems to have them in. Problem is, they're only on the American site, not the UK one.

Which means paying import tax.

They're $100, so not too expensive. They have the white one I'm after for $90, but the tax and hassle is the reason I settled on the one I did.

What's the quality like on these g shocks? I know they are strong, do they look very 'plasticy'?

Mine new one does, but my older ones didn't.

They were both darker colours. The black one looked fine.

The plastic ones don't pretend to be anything else but good quality plastic.

I love mine, had it 2.5 years and never had to set the time or replace a battery as it is radio controlled (time auto updates 4 times a day) and solar powered.

Like said elsewhare, it is mostly metal and suitably heavy.

I have only recently started sharing wrist time with my 2 new watches, up untili then it was 100% daily wear.

Drop it on the floor, smash it against things, dropped it from 5 storeys up for my wife to catch (she dropped it) and it doesn't have a mark on it.

Killer watch keeps the time, all the time, with zero effort.

Really? Not a single mark? Mine's got scuffs all over it from rock climbing.

The thread title really is a let down, when you view all on the P&P forum...

MUST make sure I read thread titles more thoroughly.

Might have to buy a new G-Shock...

Got an old ('99) one which I bought for $89 when in Dallas on my first ever trip to the US. Some of the newish classic G-Shocks look pretty good, not a fan of the more modern styling.

Got mine from the Casio shop in Odaiba - Tokyo....matt black with red highlights and blue illumination - pretty happy with it.
