A watch winder with a difference....

How would the back and forth motion actually wind a watch without some sideways motion? *clueless*

Unless you were really unlucky, or the weight was needing lubricated, it would roll from side to side (or top to bottom) on its inertia. Looks pretty violent compared to some winders, though its nothing compared to what it'll see on your wrist.

I was wondering that it could be a more natural motion, (like a wrist), rather than the normal 'around and around'...

Just heald my watch next to my ear and turned it as in the clip and I could hear it winding so yes I would work

you have no control over whether it winds clockwise or anti clockwise - it could end up doing nothing.

looks pretty violent to me as well - yes not like on the wrist, but you don't do that kind of movement every 30 secs.
