Having stupidly been using my watch whilst doing some mechanicary work, I have managed to muller the clasp. Tried to contact Omega and they haven't got back to me (2 days), and Ernst Jones (supplying dealer) said to bring it in before they could quote. So just wondering from people's experience:

How much is a replacement clasp (if available) or replacement bracelet likely to sting me for? Its the one below

Thanks in advance for any help.

On a sidebar, I've ordered the rubber band for the same watch in Holland. First, the dealer said it would cost around 150 Euros and couple of weeks for delivery. So I put in my order. A week later they've called and said a) it costs 330 Euros and b) takes 2 months to deliver (from Switzerland). What a rip off! Too bad I've promised my son when I got the watch this summer as a graduation gift.

Not sure if Omega will supply just a clasp but I reckon around £500 for a new bracelet. WoS estimated £700 to put a bracelet on my Zenith frown

However, eBay is probably your friend...

£500?! You having a giraffe?! A quartz costs about £7-800!
£200ish is more like it.

I'd have a chat with one of the specialist repairers.

I use

www.chealwatch.com

for servicing my Seamaster and he buffed up the scratched bracelet as well.

That site would have been very, very helpful so thanks. However I popped it into a local jewellers who replaced couple of the pins and adjusted it for the massive sum of £7.50! It pays to go local. However I have bookmarked the link for the inevitable next time!

Thanks guys.

+1

My Seamaster Pro Chrono has just gone in to be serviced (keeps stopping!) and I've asked for a quote to polish the bracelet up as it's been knocked about a bit. This will help me avoid getting stung!

Metal strap for my planet ocean is about 300 irrc, and the leather one was nearer 200.

You can speak to Dominic off here, as he was the one who gave me those prices.

Anyone know how much it would cost to clean up my bracelet - few scratches etc on it which could do with buffing out. Any recommendations as to where (live in Hampshire).

Thanks

Out of interest when the Omega has to go for a service, or even before then, can these places get rid of scrapes and stratches?

Mine is about a month old and has a few knocks and scratches already as I wear it all the time..
