Long shot this one I suspect but knowing the wide range of expertise and tastes on PH I guess it is possible that someone owns one of these?

For those that don't know the brand, Jorge Schauer owns Stowa which is a favourite amongst PH'ers. I sent off for the Stowa catalogue and was suprised (and delighted) to get a brochure for Schauer as well. I hadn't been aware of these before and for all that they use Valjoux movements there is clearly an awful lot of design and build work done by Jorge himself......therefore very limited numbers each year.

The website is www.schauer-germany.com (no affiliations just very interested)

I really rather like the look of the Edition 12 and the Day Date Zentral. Clean but unusual designs.

Anyone own one and wish to pass on experiences? I've done a wee look round the usual forums.

New brand to me, but like you say, nice looking designs.

I like them - what kind of prices?

I'm an owner of a Stowa Marine Original (wearing it now in fact) and I love the watch, but the Schauer watches are just slightly too fussy for my tastes. I think that if they didn't have the screws on the front of the Bezel then I'd like them more. I have a feeling that they are a fair amount more money than a Stowa, in which case you have a lot of choice at that price. I'd personally prefer a Dornblueth ( www.dornblueth.com), and will have one eventually.

Good brand though, and the quality of my Stowa is superb, as was the customer service.

It is the MO in the Stowa range that I really like (cue post and pic from Tertiuswavey) but I have enough "dress" watches.

The Schauer's start around €1600 so they are a niche above the Stowa range, going up to €4000.
