My wife wants a new watch and has narrowed her choice to either a s/steel Cartier Tank Francais (mid-size) or a s/steel Rolex Datejust (mid-size or even gents) - either one is most likely to be purchased 'pre-owned'.

She's keen for the watch have some diamonds set in to it.
It seems easy to find a Rolex that fits the bill with either stones set on the hour markers and/or around the bezel.

The difficult part is finding a mid-size s/steel Tank with diamonds on both sides of the case. So my question is...

is it possible to add stones to a 'plain' Tank? And if so how much would this cost?

Any pointers would be appreciated, thanks.

Can anyone also recommend a ladies watch that looks plain? Railmaster style?

We seem to be crap here when it comes to watches for the ladies smile

Thanks,

That must have been one hell of a weekend in Bournemouth to have to buy her a Rolex wink

Ok....

Don't know if the JLC was ever in the picture but it would be very similar to her final two choices ans IMHO astep up in both class and style (third piccy perhaps excluded in that last statement!).

A number of varients...
