New Model Rolex GMT - availability

I thought there was a waiting list for one of these, so was surprised to see one in a high street shop window yesterday selling for £3600 !!

Most of these Rolex waiting list rumours are perpetuated by the owners themselves. The Daytona and green Mil are the only ones that are hard to get. On most new models there's an initial rush where supply doesn't meet demand.

I expect the Deep Sea will be hard to get for a year and then prices will be back towards list. I think with many new models, many people get themselves on the lists just to sell them on.

If you look in shops outside places like London you find more of these 'rarer' models sitting in the windows.
