My husband has dropped some fairly heavy hints that he would like a Seiko SKX031 for his birthday. Having a very limited knowledge of such things, there appears to be two numbers listed ie. SKX031K1 and SKX031K2 and I can't see the difference. Could the wise and educated of the PH watch forum please advise.

Thanks
Diane

I have had a look for you (any excuse to look at seiko's)

They are the same watch, same movement, same strap design, but slightly differnt dial appearence.

the K1 has the seiko name on the dial in black and appears a bit polished, where as the K2 seiko bit is silver.

Google both serial No's and you can pull up a image of each dial, to have a look yourself.

This is a really nice watch, I have a similar one, great feel and weight, your husband will be very happy with it, you should be able to source one from a UK based web dealer for under 100 GBP.

Hi Diane

Excellent choice - your husband would be happy with either model.

I am wearing the SKX031K2 I bought earlier this year - I love it. It is stylish, rugged and keeps excellent time - better than my Omegas!

The only diference between to two is the bracelet design. The K1 has a President bracelet, the K2 has an Oyster bracelet - both styled on the Rolex bracelets of the same name. Look at chronograph.com, a Us based site which stocks all the Seiko sports models - you will find all the variations of the SKX031 and similar Seiko's. You can choose the model you like best.

As the previous poster said, there are a number of UK Ebay dealers selling these for around 100 quid - I paid 70 for mine. PM me if you need a recommendation.

Good luck.

Alan
