I'm told that generally the answer is no; NYC premiums tend to iron out any currency benefit. Would be interested to see how you find it though as I'm going in October.

A friend bought a black SS daytona in California last week (and a sub at the same time!) and paid close to UK list. I think that he was just so astonished to be able to buy the watch there and then from stock that he snapped it up.

I don’t know if it differs between brand but I did investigate getting a Bell & Ross from the US and I could save a about 5%/10% perhaps on UK prices but as sterling is heading South and balancing up and potential warranty issues I didn’t feel it was worth it.

So now getting from a UK agent.

I think the big difference and main benefit with US suppliers is that they tend to carry the stock or do have very short delivery times.

i bought my Breitling Cockpit from a watch shop in NY - Tourneau. Well known, excellent service and thoroughly recommended. Also 5 five floors of watches!

If you're also considering selling any of your pieces, they take them in, in p/x thumbup
