My wife's parents will shortly be going back home to China, and will therefore not be seeing us for a long while, so they would like to buy my wife a watch as a special gift. She loves Sinn, Oris and Longines, but these are a lot more expensive than the £300 budget (set by my wife, as she doesn't want her folks to spend more than that! £300 is a lot of money in China!). Although she's not an enormous person, she favours larger watches over the little ones. So, can anyone recommend something special that she can cherish as a reminder for up to £300?

For that kind of very respectable budget, i'd stay with mainstream brands like Seiko personally. Lots of choice and some nice larger styles on many of them.

Without wanting to plug it, I'm currently offering a Mauboussin in the classifieds. It's 18k WG but slightly outside your budget.

However, I do also have a mint unworn steel quartz version which I'd let go for £200.

PM me if interested.

What about that PH favourite, Christopher Ward?

Thanks for all your suggestions. She's now trying to persuade them to get her a ring instead, as a better long-term gift to remember them by (which means that I'll be able to buy her an Oris!).
