Rotary automatic
Discussion
This one will be free! It's my long service award. It's one of those things where you have so many points to spend. Anyway, there's loads of watches (lots of Sekonda quartz nastiness), but this caught my eye.
What's it likely to be like? I don't know anything about Rotary watches, except that this is Swiss, automatic, and has a display back.
ETA: Ooh, there's another automatic on the site, and within my points budget. It's one of these.
Decent quality? A hairlewm of repute? Likely to keep reasonably decent time? Assembled in a half-way competent manner?

Er, do you mean "heirloom" by any chance? Any new watch will lose money big time (unless it is in great demand like a Rolex Daytona) so just buy and enjoy. After all, it isn't costing you a penny is it? Rotary are second rung Swiss watches but none the worse for that.
I do indeed. I'm not so much interested in the value of the piece (I know it's a bit cheap and cheerful), when I come to pass it on should I shuffle off this mortal coil, than I am in the prospect of it still being functional, what with it being all mechanical and automatic and stuff.I've made my selection - I haven't got a watch with a display back and a skeleton front, so I've elected for that one.
Argos do a Rotary auto for £80, makes that site look expensive.
