the watch is not functioning due to needs battery change,its a very good price,£800,with all docs,test machine and box,i fear there may be something else wrong ,quoted £300 for the battery change,what do i do?

What i would do is ask the seller to put a new battery in it and pay him the price including the battery change once the work has been done and the watch works. It seems the fairest way. If not then i would be tempted to walk away.

I read somewhere that the frequency these watches transmit on will soon become obsolete.

No idea if this is true but if so effect resale value?

There is some truth in that from what i remember but Breitling are going to continue making the watches with that frequency as it still can be used if someone is reported missing? Something like that.

When in your life have you ever needed a helecopter to rescue you anyway? Seriously unlikely event.

My brother has one and im sure he got it just so he can brag about helecopters etc.
