Condensation in my TAG
Discussion
Condensation just means there is moisture in there. It might have been in there all along waiting for the watch to warm up and is now perfectly sealed in Assuming the watch doesn't have a screw down crown that isn't fully tightened, send it back with a cover note reading "swing and a miss"...
Or, you could try what was suggested to me by tertius when I found condensation in my Tauschmeister Divers watch..
Open up the crown, then put it in a tupperware box full of rice, and leave it for a coule of days - the rice absorbs the moisture. After a few days, take the watch out and the moisture should be gone.

May I ask where you would send a Tag for repair?
After paying £700 for a new watch glass I'd be erm ... keen to find an alternative if I ever need it again!

Just read the other thread. Thats not good news. After paying £700 for a new watch glass I'd be erm ... keen to find an alternative if I ever need it again!

Gave up on sending things via Manchester, and sent mine directly to Switzerland. Significantly faster, significantly cheaper.
Only downside was that Manchester accused me of having the battery changed in a backstreet shop the next time it went back in. Then changed the fricking face to green and red from black, without asking me. The twunts.
Wish I'd sent mine to Switzerland, and I was only getting the battery changed on my Indy 500! They right royally fked it up, damaging nearly every part of the watch, from the bezel to the case and even the sapphire crystal! Sent it back and got it put right, as well as being given a newer bezel which looks nicer, but never again.
If its general watch servicing then there are some good reliable places to get work done for a realistic price. The trouble is always obtaining the spare parts particularly for brands like Tag/Cartier etc. This is where they have you over a barrel. I have seen Estimates from Both LVMH And Omega where the cost of replacing bezels, bracelets , glass on a watch has far exceeded the cost of the watch!!
