Watch Winders in the UK
Discussion
Hi all,
Going to be back in the UK in around 6 weeks time and I'm going to try and pick up a winder - I have 3 autos now and will no doubt acquire more.
I'm in Dubai, and while you can get them, they are the super dooper top end stuff and silly money - so I want to pick one up while I'm back.
I'm going to be in London for a few days but also around Buckingham/Milton Keynes for a while too (rest of the trip is in Yorkshire, Somerset & Cornwall).
Anyone know where I can have a look at and purchase something a little more reasonable or even something I can order on line and have delivered to my Parent's place?
Looking for a 4 peice minimum - 6 would be nice.
Thanks in advance.

I have the Rapport winder (Paramount, I think) which takes 12 watches. I've had it about 3 months. The first piece arrived with a deep scratch on the cabinet so back it went.
On Sunday I noticed that one of the winding compartments (which had a watch in it) had broken. The cylinder had broken off the winding mechanism. On inspection, the plastic had cracked. After a whole 3 months.
Further testing of the other 11 winders revealed that 2 of them (no watches in either) had stopped working too. The plastic had not scratched but they were totally dead.
Dealer has been helpful and full refund is on its way. Despite loving the piece itself, I am very disappointed with the quality of the unit.

I know they are US based, but given the current exchange rate, even with the shipping they seem crazy-cheap by comparison to anything I have seen in the UK.
