I've had my explorer 1 for 5 years now, managed to aquire a few very fine scratches on the face, any recomendations for removing these cheaply? It doesnt warrant a new face, but would be nice to remove them.

Am london based.

Thanks for reading

Scratched face = the 'glass' cover? If it's acrylic, light scratches will polish out. If it's sapphire crystal, i think it has to be replaced.

If you're in London, why not drop into Rolex, St James and seek their advice. I don't think they always 'big it up' for replacement parts

I think it's saphire, will leave it as is for a while then. Needs a service at some stage I presume.

Yeah, worth getting a service at some stage but sapphire crystals for Rolexes aren't mad expensive - £60 for my Sub.

Rolex won't do a part job. They will replace the crystal at the next service for an additional cost.
