Hi all,

Came back from Singapore a few weeks ago, and while doing the usual stall rounds came across a pair of timepieces which were branded as Omega. Now not much else to say about them except the guy didn't know whether they were genuine or not and that they weren't fully working but you could see a real movement inside. Anyone able to comment on them?

I don't know. But I was given an Omega pocket watch last year. The story was that my ex's dad found it in the street in Poland about 40yrs ago. I was convinced it must be fake because it was such poor quality. Really really poor quality. Having checked into it a bit further I've no doubt it was genuine after all. But they are worth peanuts even in mint condition. £40 or £50 on Ebay seems to be the norm.

Yes, I didn't like to say that as it seemed so obvious. The hands are way too ornate compared to the one I had.

Pointing out the bleedin' obvious is my specialist subject, to paraphrase Basil Fawlty biggrin
