Got three the Joe Siffert (white) Steve Mcqueen (blue orange stripes) and the plain black.
Love then all, the early ones with the buckle strap were a pain the straps only lasted about a year but the new over centre straps have cured this and I have had no problem with any of them.
I hardley every use the crown as I have a watch winder.

Mine's currently in for repair. It just stopped!
Also, before it stopped, the sweep second hand didn't zero correctly (went to about 4secs position). Was never sure whether it was best to run the stopwatch (to leave large sweep second hand going around) or have it stopped.

Are'nt they a manual wind watch ? Well the All new Grand Carrera is a beauty!
THey're an auto, but probably need a kick-start wind off the crown if completely stopped.£2.5k seems steep. Plenty online places have them at £2k, and I've seen them as low as £1400 if you're willing to import.

Yep, thats about what I paid last year when I imported from the US. Had no probs with it at all but I keep mine wound on a winder. Try one on bu they are not tht big, I have just come by a Bell and Ross... That is big!!!Twit said:

Hi All,
I'm thinking of taking the plunge on a new Tag Monaco price is circa £2.5k.
I've already got an Omega Seamaster and I'm itching to get another watch.
Are they any good?
Thanks in advance
I had Steve McQueen/Blue dial as everyday watch for over 4 years. Service twice and no problem at all. A sound investmentI'm thinking of taking the plunge on a new Tag Monaco price is circa £2.5k.
