Hi All,

I'm thinking of taking the plunge on a new Tag Monaco price is circa £2.5k.

I've already got an Omega Seamaster and I'm itching to get another watch.

Are they any good?

Thanks in advance

I have had one (black strap/black face) for nearly four years. Since then have added a Omega PO, Hamilton and Anomino to the collection - but always come back to the Monaco.

Brilliant blend of sports and dress watch.

Make sure you haggle on the price.

Got three the Joe Siffert (white) Steve Mcqueen (blue orange stripes) and the plain black.

Love then all, the early ones with the buckle strap were a pain the straps only lasted about a year but the new over centre straps have cured this and I have had no problem with any of them.

I hardley every use the crown as I have a watch winder.

I've got the white faced vintage. Had it a couple of years and love it.
I wear it everyday, not had any problems with it.

Mine's currently in for repair. It just stopped!

Also, before it stopped, the sweep second hand didn't zero correctly (went to about 4secs position). Was never sure whether it was best to run the stopwatch (to leave large sweep second hand going around) or have it stopped.

THey're an auto, but probably need a kick-start wind off the crown if completely stopped.
£2.5k seems steep. Plenty online places have them at £2k, and I've seen them as low as £1400 if you're willing to import.

I had Steve McQueen/Blue dial as everyday watch for over 4 years. Service twice and no problem at all. A sound investment
