All i can remember is it was a divers style watch, you know with 2 or 3 smaller dials and the main one. Weighed a ton and was like a gun metal colour i think.

I honestly can't think, what i need is an ID parade of what they have done, i don't suppose there is a history of Tag anywhere that has all the watches they have done?! (that woud be nice!!) I know it was metal not leather but as for the design i can't think.

In 1996 thatd be a Sports Elegance (what a misnomer); also referred to as the SEL. Their range position has now been filled by the Link models.

The only decent TAG Heuer watch offered in the 90s (in my opinion), was the 4000 automatic: I hated the gaudy and ugly SELs, the 2000 was cheap in appearance (and mostly quartz, although so are most 4000s too) and the F1 was a piece of tat.

4000 automatic

I used to have one of those back in the 90s. Except that it was a fake from Thailand and the bezel turned pink after about a year.

I have a 4000 bi-colour automatic: my first real watch.
