Anonimo Firenze - opinions?
Discussion
Was sent the lastest edition catalogue and price list the other week, and went into Copes in Nottingham to have a look at them, and they are very nice.
Prices start from £1450 upto thick end of £5000.
Get yourself over to TZ-UK.com as members have a couple of nice pre-owned ones on the sales corner.
Wayfarer II currently retails at £1995 according to the brochure, but as with all the prestige makes, I am sure that is open to discussion with the shop. Very much likeing the TP Crono Racing, but at £4550 is a little out of my price range.
Have a look at www.anonimo.com and order the catalogue, it is a very nicely produced document in both English and Italian with some more history on the watches

I've looked at these extensively and agree they look good. The workers used to make the original Panerai, prior to the Richemont Group takeover and are in the original Panerai factory. They appear to be good but very few dealers, who in the south at least, wont budge on RRP.
They also seem to shed money quite dramaticaly from new, so used i think is the way to go. I've seen examples two years old for 50% of current RRP

It's already on my 'watch list' but it will hit a more sensible amount imo. Add to that import duty and VAT and the risk that if not as described how you would deal with a return etc, it isn't likely to be a deal of the century afaic, though would like to be wrong.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ANONIMO-Opera-Meccana-Millem...
I think the Anonimo watches are stunning. They are Panerai but with more soul, especially now that Panerai is part of the multinational conglomerate Richemont Group and made in Switzerland, not Italy. I particularly like any of the limited edition Polluce series with bronze.
Also, if it helps anyone, I have a link to an Authorised Dealer of Anonimos in the UK and I should be able to help you get individual pieces. Let me know if any interest.

Jura watches amongst others offer the range and they're not hard to find or buy. Are you suggesting you can get a price advantage? Also, if it helps anyone, I have a link to an Authorised Dealer of Anonimos in the UK and I should be able to help you get individual pieces. Having said that I was underwhelmed by a couple of Anomino I tried on a couple of weeks ago, I went to give them another try this weekend and walked out with a chronoscopio!
Forget what I said before - stunning watch- big but not too big - feels substantial and the leather strap is (which on mine has contrast blue stitching) is a thing of real quality

Sorry to sound like a stuck record....
but what movements do these watches use? Panerai have only just started to develop their own movements... I'm assuming Anonimo are using bought-in movements, correct? And do they add complications, or special finishing to the movement, or is it just sold on the 'history' ??
