My wife has a Bimetal Rolex datejust and she's constantly saying how uncomfortable she feels wearing it on a daily basis, so I have been looking for something as a daily beater and I am struggling to find something that meets the bill. Can anyone help.

1. must be around midsize - the Rolex is on the small side to quickly glance at the time when she is with clients
2. Must be 100m water resist - she swims every day so its would only be a matter of time before anything less would be ruined
3. max about £300
4. she doesn't have 'high fashion' taste more classic/sporty but no more 'sporty' than the datejust.
5. Must have a date
6. New or second hand considered
7. quartz or mechanical considered.

How about one of these - been thinking about getting my daughter one -

25mm in diameter
Water resistant to 100m
Elegant
Titanium
Date
Automatic
Well respected brand
In the Sinn Store Madrid with the bracelet at 730Euros

I am sure that there will be more advice coming to just to get the ball rolling

Sinn seems a bit above the budget so here's something cheaper to redress the balance. Only the top left one qualifies as 100 metre proof but the price is seriously attractive.

Then there's one here:-

And if you want men's size then there's a wealth of choice here:-

I'm sure, as posted above, loads of choices will come out of the woodwork in the days ahead. Best of luck.

Thanks guys - You've absolutely nailed it with the design angle, but they are all too small.

Looking for something minimum 30mm case diameter - maybe I could get her to try a 38mm gents and see what that looks like - It may be the only way I can get one

I don't think you'll find the Seikos too small, especially the mens ones. They are mostly between 38mm and 42mm.

Most of the ladies Seiko's I have seen have been 25/26mm which is the same size as the Rolex. In her job she has to keep to appointment times yet not look like she is clock watching - so easy to read bigger watch is reqd - mens may be too big cos she has relatively small wrists but this needs checking.

keep em coming

It's the fashion now to wear a bigger watch anyway. I was at dinner last night and his wife (who weighs 7 stone dripping wet) was wearing a Jaeger lecoultre like this and it looked stunning. OK it isn't the same price but it is 37mm and it looked fabulous.

hers had a black strap and black face though.

What about a Japanese market mens' model - they do 'junior' sizes for skinny wristed types. I have a JDM Seiko 'sub' bought from our favourite internet auction site that's just that.

OMG I think I've just done a sex wee - that is simply stunning.

I looked at the Master Compressor before getting my GP. That the ladies one is fabulous.

considered it - she actually has a ladies quartz Tag in the cupboard that we have never got round to selling - I've not considered resuracting it cos its still the same size as the rolex.

Might get her to try one of the older gents ones.

If the man's TAG is to big, I'm sure they used to make a mid-sized tag? Might be getting mixed up with Omega Seamaster though.
