Errr this is what I've been saying all along regarding how cheap a mechanical watch can be (yeah, they've chosen the ETA 2824-2 and marked it up something massively, it's not that expensive really).

I made a lovely looking one for $749 which I'm tempted at. Shame they don't let you easily redesign the dial so it's got my choice of branding (or not) on it.

Still, I'm not going to pay someone to do this - I'm going to do it myself.
